tight double strand twist plus bantu knots, air dried and finger combed after 2nd day. the double strand twisting, when twisted tightly, forms a rope look. Then when you release it, it slackens or loosens and holds the twist. So it is not an uncomfortable set.

Thank you. Yes i do retighten myself. The closest consultant is in England. So i had no choice but to do it myself. Since my locks vary in thickness from front to back, i range from a 3pt to an 8 pt pattern. I want a consultant in Munich.
Do you use the Napplocks 4pt. pattern to tighten your locks: N,E,S,W? I know that you had mentioned your pattern ranging from 3 to 8 but has it changed since? Or do you still use the SL pattern instead?

since the hair density is different througout my head, the size of some of my locs are also different throughout my head. I use the 4pt sisterlocks pattern as well as 3pt, 6 pt and 8pt i see in the Nappylocs book. i wish i could stick to one pattern but some strands aren't big enough for 4 pts and some are too big for 4 pts. Also, i don't like retightening my hair so tight that it feels like 'mommy-my-ponytail-is-too-tight' kind of thing. i am very gentle with it. I really need a consultant here in Germany for my tender head and one who won't retighten my hair to death.
