Wild hair ties

i was trying to style my hair for the next day and came up with these wild ties simply by holding my hair in two sections at a time and tying them together.

your locks are absoloutely STUNNING

Do you maintain them yourself and how do you avoid getting them knotted or tangled when retightening, my locks are no way near the length or thickness of yours, the opposite but I have just taken a retightening class and still on attempting my first retightening I have managed to get knots in at least 2 locks.

I enjoy reading your blog.

Locked,
thanks hon, and thanks for stopping by. i have not taken a retightening class because i had no intentions of doing my own hair. We moved to Germany suddenly and i had no choice but to buy the nappylocs tool plus a book and maintain my hair myself since there are no consultants here. yes i have put some knots in my hair in the back where a mirror sometimes just isn't enough, but what to do. at the end of the day, what matters is that i manipulate the new growth of my hair in time and into a neat retightening. it takes me one week if i do a little each day or two days if i do nothing else but my hair.

Hey, everyone has their SL celebrity that they want to be like... You are definitely, my SL idol! I have searched many blogs and I fel in love with your hair the moment I saw it! Congrats on the decision to get sisterlocked, it was a very smart one. I start my journey in Decemeber. Don't be surprised if I ask you lots of advice. Hey- I got one now to solve. To dye or not to dye before installation, that is the question. Thanks

Also, what date did you start SLs?

Free P.,
thank you for stopping by hon. thank you for the great compliments. i started SL 5/13/2001. I welcome all your questions. i am happy to help however i can. i checked out your blog and loved it. i especially like your SL family. your blog is really cool! to dye or not to dye before SL....hmmm.....if i could start my locks all over again, i would either get a haircut or have my hair shaped so that it grows into a neat style already. i would stick to the advice of my consultant the strict at-home-maintenance once my locks are installed. i wouldn't color my hair before installation because i) i want my hair to be in pristine health when it's locked, i wouldn't risk it being dried out or anything, but rather have it in it's healthiest state prior to installation. ii) when your hair starts accumulating length, the shedded hair grows into your locks and those tiny white bulbs from the roots are very visible. at that time, you might want to color your hair to disguise that. i think color on locks look fierce, hot and sexy. what i don't like is the two tone once the new growth appears. then coloring becomes another maintenance on top of retightening. i would love to color my hair now, but that stops me. huge congrats on your decision to SL your hair.

Now you know it's way past my bedtime and you have me here drewling over your locks. J/k! Thank you so much for your comments. I found those PC's at a craft store called Micheal's and if Ricky's is anything like it then i'm sure you would find it there. Your best bet is in a art or craft store. Ok, back to drewling over your locks :-p
