It's all about hair

I set my hair like this with a spritz of water or mousse it, cover my hair at night with a satin bonnet or silk scarf to reduce lint as well as sleep on a satin pillow case. I find covering my hair at night keeps it 'new' and 'alive' not limp and dried out. then finger comb it in the morning.

Let's face it, when will you ever take 1,000 pictures of your hair unless you feel really great about it! You know you have days when your hair just won't cooperate. And then there are those days when it looks and feels wonderful on your head. Well, today is one of those days. So i decided to take full advantage of the photo booth feature on my MacBook.

Ok, I have a few questions:

1) Did you 2-strand twist chunks of your hair in order to achieve a looser wave or is that just your bedtime hair style? Looks great.

2) Your hair looks pretty thick (so is mine) so i'm wondering if your locks feel a little heavy at your current length (when dry, not when wet)? Come to think of it, how long are they?

3) Is your natural hair color black, dark brown, or ashy brown (a.b.=not black but off-black/very dark brown)? You have a very beautiful natural color and I notice a few brown tints in your hair. My hair is ashy brown but i'm wondering if I should let it grow out or keep coloring.

Dewdrop,
1) I did 2-strand twist chunks of my hair in order to achieve a looser wave. but when twisting it, you must twist it tight so that it winds into a rope as your are 2 strand twisting, then when you release it, it will unwind some and relax a bit, but it also will hold. thank you.
2) hmmm, i know my locks are heavy when wet, but dry....i don't remember now. i know when i set it in perm rods at night, the next day it is full of bounce and lots of movement. i have not measured the length of my hair and i would now except it is in rollers. i know that my hair is breast length. sometimes i love the length, sometimes i want it short and sassy like yours. i have some baby locs in the front that need to grow in. they keep unravelling. i want to add extensions (from my hair) to the baby ones so that the ends (of the baby ones) can be closed and get a chance to accumulate in length
3) born in Jamaica, my hair was brown. now it is dark brown almost black. the brown tints you notice on the ends are a result of coloring my hair chocolate brown about 6 years ago. my problem with coloring is that you have to keep doing it. i think about trying a henna color or a rinse or something temporary but i must wait for the baby locs in the front to settle down first. i won't color until i'm absolutely sure i want it. i will do it when i'm a clear yes. i love the color on your hair.

I absolutely LOVE your locks they are beautiful...you tickle me with all your pictures!!! I can see my locs looking similar to yours as there are no 2 locked heads alike :) but I have the same density and I have had great sucess in the past with length and perms so surely the natural will be even better....huhhhh we will see what time brings, but I have booked marked your blog! it's one of the best I've seen! thanks for the encouragement!!
